Sinulog sa Dipolog
Held every January 4, Sinulog sa Dipolog is one of the major fiestas in Dipolog City. Huge volume of people, particularly religious devotees, flock the streets of the city to celebrate and commemorate the feast of their religious patron. This exciting spectacle promises to be one of the most vibrant, colorful, and lively celebrations in the Philippines every year. Katkat Sakripisyo
The success of the annual Katkat Sakripisyo event is mainly attributed to the wonderful collaboration between the Information Office, Tourism Council, and Tourism Office of Dipolog City. Every year, religious devotees pass through the 3,003 Steps to Linabo Peak to commemorate some very important religious practices. This special event usually takes place during Holy Week, particularly Good Friday. People can experience a fascinating and mesmerizing view of Dipolog from Linabo Peak.
Katkat sa Dipolog
Directly connected to Katkat Sakripisyo, Katkat sa Dipolog is another special event with religious implications for its attendees. Of course, this activity is participated well not only by religious devotees, but also by nature lovers as well as sports buff. Another annual activity held during Holy Week, people engage in rigorous, action-packed, and enjoyable trekking and mountain climbing. En route to their destination, participants can pass through some of the most famous tourist attractions in the area including Linabo Peak, Pamansalan Reforestation Site, and Cogon Eco-Tourism Park.
City Fiesta
Held every fourth Saturday of May, the City Fiesta in Dipolog is one of the most highly celebrated and much anticipated events of the year. The Dipolog City Tourism Council, City Tourism Office, and Holy Rosary Cathedral Parish work hand in hand to make this annual fiesta always successful. Not only is this fiesta for devotees and religious observers, as tourists and guests can also take part and witness this special gathering that offers a clear glimpse of the rich culture, tradition, and history of the place.
Adlaw sa Dipolog
As another major fiesta in Dipolog City, Adlaw sa Dipolog is held every first of July to commemorate the establishment of Dipolog as a city. This day is very important for the local government as well as its residents for it clearly shows how the place has progressed and developed throughout the years. As one of the most exciting events of the year for the City of Dipolog, the pre-celebration of this special event features exciting activities for local residents and tourists.
