Dakak Beach, Dipolog

Just 30-minute drive from the city of Dipolog is Dakak Beach, Dipolog. This, among great feats of nature in the city of Dipolog, is the most popular beachfront in the coastal city, taking in most of the gentle incoming waves coming from the vast Sulu Sea.

Dakak Beach, Dipolog is protected by a bay with a most unusual shape—it’s not a perfect concave but a slightly angled bay that looks like the wide open mouth of a crocodile, especially when seen from a bird’s eye view. Dakak Beach, Dipolog has fine white sand all over and a beachfront that softly kisses the gently coming waves.

The waters off Dakak Beach, Dipolog are emerald green near the shore and deep blue farther on. After about a width of 20 meters of sand the shore is bounded by hilly forest, some parts of which have steep rock cliffs verdant with wild crouching bushes. There are isolated huge rock formations on the shore offering ledges perfect for sheltering oneself from the sun while lying on the sand.

Dakak Beach, Dipolog is yet unspoiled by commercialism present in most picturesque beaches in the country. Free from noise, pollution, wild crowds, and the urban propensities of extravagant tourist sites hell-bent on luring tourist spenders to their places. There is no trace yet of a looming cityscape on the backdrop of Dakak Bech, Dipolog.

There are resorts at the coastline but apparently not enough because the Dipolog Net site is yet flooded with real estate advertisements urging people to buy and invest at Dakak Beach, Dipolog. And probably not for long, Dakak Beach, Dipolog would soon crowd with tourists and excursionists, like in Boracay, booked in resort hotels that would line up near the shore.

Being near Cebu and Dumaguete, and approximately 65 minutes to about 2 hours or less from Manila by plane, Dakak Beach, Dipolog has the potential of being a foremost, if not the best, beach destination in the country.

There’s a 300-step concrete stairway up a hilltop from which the whole Dakak Beach, Dipolog, protected by an irregularly shaped bay, is seen. From such viewpoint visitors can see big patches of areas where the rich undergrowth of corals and reefs are, just a few meters off the shoreline. In its totality, Dakak Beach, Dipolog is yet a blissful pleasure of nature available to tourists.

Situated in the part of the archipelago free from the typhoon path, Dakak Beach, Dipolog is sure to be a year-long beach destination for all to enjoy.
