Located at Barangay Cogon in the beautiful City of Dipolog, Cogon Eco-Park is a premier tourist destination where people can experience the beauty of nature at its finest. The place was founded since 1958, which is basically a reforestation project covering 344 hectares of land. For people who want to spend some quality time with their families, friends, and loved ones, this place provides a very nice alternative location where they can enjoy numerous exciting outdoor activities.
Cogon Eco-Park is a first-rate tourist attraction that is very famous for featuring different kinds as well as diverse species of trees. Among the most popular are Narra, Acacia, and Mahogany. In the meantime, people can also find here other beautiful tree varieties like Rattan, Mayapis, and Molave. Nature lovers as well as tree enthusiasts are guaranteed to appreciate the presence of other beautiful tree species such as Lumbayao, Duguan, and Tianong. They can also find Nato, Tianong, Narig, Lauan, Yemane, and Teak at Cogon Eco-Park.

To enhance further the appearance and features of Cogon Eco-Park, the local government of Dipolog City is working hand in hand with various environmental groups as well as local residents in the area. Currently, plans are already laid out for interesting developmental projects such as the addition of picnic cottages, Subanen Valley, as well as a special information center. To make the place more organized and inviting for tourists and guests, the plan includes the construction of a spacious parking lot as well as a beautiful entrance. At present, the management of Cogon Eco-Park is also developing an aviary that can house various breeds and species of birds. In terms of wild animals, cages are provided to hold these beautiful animals safely.
In addition, Cogon Eco-Park also features the Subanen Village, where some of the native people continuously reside up to this very moment. These gentle, hospitable, and loving people serve as living examples of the rich history, culture, and tradition of the place. For years to come, the local government of Dipolog, in collaboration with the Dipolog Outdoors Society Inc., is planning to use Cogon Eco-Park as major part of the special event called Katkat sa Dipolog.
